I don't know about directly displacing other birds, but the
blackbird scatters the ground layer, disturbing an enormous
amount of litter in its search for insects and worms.  So it has
been blamed for the disappearance of orchids, for instance. 

Also a great vector for berries, taking all sorts of exotics
into native bush.
