The name Eurasian Magpie is a bit dull, but accurate enough - the bird
occurs all across Eurasia from Galway to Vladivostok! According to my
USSR guide, the Azure-winged Magpie also occurs in the Transbaikal and
Amur regions of SE Russia (Siberia) (and presumably south into China).
The Iberian birds must be a relict population.
