On Thursday evening I was at a seminar where Senator Robert Hill was speaking. Given the opportunity, I told him of the error in the NHT publication. He said he would speak to his experts who had prepared it and ask them to review it. He also said he was not aware of having received any correspondence pointing out the error. If he is correct that none of the people who noticed this error has drawn it to his attention, it is difficult to see how people expect him not to make the same mistake in future. Shouldn't we be trying to educate politicians about bird issues instead of just complaining?
