Hello All,

I've tried to resist this but.... Sorry to all the pure mathematicians
but you can't beat the aesthetics of 2000 (MM) (I wonder if the lolly
company knows). My highlights are for the century, or my little birding
bit of it.

A white Torresian Crow at Bribie I. (just North of Brisbane).
Lord Howe Island - a magic birding (and snorkling) experience. Thank you
Ian.
Rediscovering Eastern Bristlebird where it was considered extinct.
Going on my first twitch and having a wonderful time.
A Wood Pigeon at Tooting Bec Common (my first non-Australian bird), the
ducks in Regent's Park (heaps), a Cuckoo on Skye (heard only but so
evocative), a Jay in Balham, a Buzzard in Wales and a very surprised
looking Great Crested Grebe in the south of France.
Powerful Owl at Mt Cootha (Brisbane Forest Park) with two huge babies.
Thank you Jan.
Grass Owl .......!
Learning to tell the difference between 5 or 6 waders. Thank you John.

And thank you all for Birding-aus.
Season's Greetings from
Ros Laundon.
