Prospect Reservoir (in sydney's west) is only a couple of km's form my place and has had a hundred or more Great-crested Grebes in the past. However I have not seen them there for 2 years (but the reservoir is very large indeed and they could be hiding in some corner). This is one of only very few site for them around Sydney. Grahamston Reservoir near Newcastle is often a good stake out for them aswell.
