Ok, we'll top post :) You have to match the toolchain to the board,
what image are you running on your 7400? This can also happen if there
was ASM in the C code, but the pre-processor should have picked up on
that and I doubt there's any ASM in ntp :) Is there no ntp in the
Debian archives? If you can find a .deb it would make the cross
compiling mute :)
