Did not know it would reset the link.  I have it booting to linuxrc-sdroot-readonly so I think we were spared that aspect.

I have several programs starting after boot that I wrote custom init scripts for, and they start in /etc/rc2.d/, another option for you.

Jon,

I forgot the "save" part, didn't I... a quick question.

At the busybox prompt, when you do a "ls -al" do you see that the link is correct (to linuxrc-sdroot?)

Let the board boot.

Do an "ls -al" -- you should see a link of linuxrc -> linuxrc-fastboot

you will need to rm linuxrc, and then ln -s linuxrc-sdroot linuxrc

to make a new link for the boot type you want.

All in the manual, I believe.

There are many ways to run your script.  Perhaps put a line in /etc/rc.local to call it.

can anybody give me step by step instructions?   The manual says I should be able to do this by setting MODE1 or MODE2, and I thought this was achievable by pulling these pins (5, and 7 respectively) to ground, but that does not seem to work.
