No need to be embarrassed, that little gotcha has bit me more than once. If my sad experience can help you, I'm glad of it Walter From: Mike Dodd <> To: Sent: Thursday, September 29, 2011 2:40 PM Subject: [ts-7000] Re: TS-7250 seems inoperative --- In , Jim Jackson <> wrote: > This is very odd. It _looks_ as if you have some sort of localecho set on minicom, and a fault in the Terminal 7250 serial connection. Found it! Walter suggested I make sure hardware flow control is off -- but it was turned on. I'm embarrassed to say that I had thought of this before my last post, then promptly forgot to check after squeezing myself into the 5'x5' network closet where the Linux boxes are located. After I configured minicom to not use HW flow control, everything works fine -- I can login on the serial port, and even get the Redboot prompt. Now all I need to is use fdconfig to extend the Control-C time and set the correct IP addresses. Thanks for the help. --- Mike __._,_.___
