I have a TS7200 (the one on which I started learning embedded linux), a Chinese mini2440 (lots of GPIOs/3 UARTS/SPI), Electrum 100 (over 50 GPIOs/2SPI/3 UARTs/6 timers/DAC+ADC (Micromint - US made , AT91SAM9G20)) and a Beagleboard clone (GPIOs/SPI/HDMI video/12 timers - Kwikbyte - US made).

Of these four, the only one that has no support for newer kernels is the TS72xx.

As a side note, Xenomai and RT_PREEMPT + HRT are supported by all other processors.

Now, the prices. TS has a problem with it. Based on features (on board NAND and RAM + peripherals), any other board is way cheaper than almost anything they sell.

The only good thing about this whole TS deal is this discussion group.

R.

P.S. Sending Matt a donation is common sense. I bet anybody who purchased a TS72xx has, at least once, used his patches.

What do you mean here? Just curious...
* open hardware?
* GPL code?
* community management?
* other?

If only the beagleboard had DAC/ADC/DIO/Dual eth/... then I would switch.
But until then ...
