Oh, now that's just wrong.  udev versus devfs, for one.  I couldn't get
the Verizon Novatel USB-760 to work on 2.4.  Not no way, not no how, I
worked on it steadily for over a month.  Had to switch to 2.6.  HAD TO.

Not a newbie.  Been using Unix for nearly 30 years.  If I had a beard,
it would be gray!
