Ah!  This is an incorrect idea.  You *should* tell us what you've
already tried.  If you don't tell us what you've tried, then you'll
waste everybody's time when we tell you to try that thing again.  Plus,
if there's something easy that you missed, we'll know what it is because
you didn't describe it.

You save everybody time, and get your question answered faster if you
describe the problem fully, and explain how you tried to solve it, and
how it didn't work.  Answer me these questions three:
  o What did you do?
  o What did you see?
  o What did you expect to see?
