Hi Fred,

If you look in the linuxrc-fastboot file (assuming it's the same as the 7390) 
you will see the following near the top:

stty -F $CONSOLE ospeed 115200 > /dev/null 2>&1

I assume that if you change the 115200 to 9600 and reboot this should do the 
trick (untested).
