[ts-7000] can't mount USB drive on TS-7260

I found a few other instances of this by searching...anyone know what causes 
this?
I took this 1GB flash drive and formatted it as FAT on a Windows PC before 
plugging it in, so it definitely works :-P

dmesg reports this:
