[ts-7000] zImage-7300-2.6.21-ts from ftp site is not working.

Hi friends,
I am working on TS-7300.Recently I found zImage-7300-2.6.21-ts on the below link:
ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/ts-arm-sbc/ts-7300-linux/binaries/ts-kernels/zImage-7300-2.6.21-ts
I have copied this kernel image into partition 1 of SD card( 2.4.26-ts11 debian)using dd command , thinking I would get 2.6 kernel.But after this,the system is not booting at all.

What's the problem.I think initrd also should be compatible to 2.6 kernel.What more steps should I follow to get 2.6 kernel on the kit TS-7300.
What more should I do for making use of the above 2.6 zImage posted in the ftp site.
