Just to clarify: 2.6.29, even with Mathieu's and the real-time patches, does 
not support HR timers for ep93xx.  This is a regression, as it *was* included 
up to around 2.6.24.  The marvel chip of the TS-7800 has HRT support in the 
mainline kernel, and doesn't need the RT patchset.
