why are you trying to use 2.6.21-ts ??
it states clearly on the TS site that this kernel is "untested" with NAND
flash. As you note above, this is what you have on 7250. You will not be able
to use your 128M yaffs2 root file system!
Check back on this list, I think you need at least 2.6.28 or 2.6.29 to have
that support working.
Since Matthieu (and others) has kindly done all the hard work and got working
what TS did not "test" I dont see much sense in not benefitting from his work.
Just go for 2.6.29.1 and his latest patch set.
If all you want is more timer resolution it can probably be done as Jim says on
2.4 . Indeed if you look in the file section (menu on the left here) you will
find Eddie from TS kindly posted a modified ts8 kernel with just that.

This is a new kernel that uses a 1021 Hz system clock in place of the standard
1 00 Hz system clock. By changing the frequency of the system clock performance
may be affected. If you notice anything let me know at

That should be just a drop in replacement for the standard kernel. Since you
seem to be completely new at all this you will certainly find that a much
easier route if that's all you need.
