I don't think that's a power suply problem. If I boot from 2.4 it works. If I boot from 2.6 without having loaded the scsi and usb modules on the 2.4 works too

How much current does this thing draw?
I had a similar problem with a PCMCIA wireless device on the TS5500 card.
It turned out that there was a power glitch when the PCMCIA device was powered up.
