I strongly suspect you are right. I had a GSM card, and it would reboot whilst
trying to log
onto the GSM network. The thing was trying to draw over 3 amps for a few
milliseconds. I
added a 5A regulator to power just the GSM modem card, thus keeping the CPU
card away
from any power dips. Worked fine.
