Greetings!
Can someone provide a little more information about the external
watchdog provided by the AVR on the TS-7800? We are developing a
embedded robotic application and this external watchdog will be
critical to ensure safety. I have looked at ts7800ctl.c and the very
limited watchdog code it has writing bytes to the AVR over the I2C
interface, but I would really like a better explanation of how it
works. I have looked at the AVR manual and the watchdog functionality
and registers it provides, but still haven't been able to get a crisp
understanding of the implementation.
I would really like to know:
-How to set the time out of the watchdog
-How to enable and disable the watchdog
-How to pet the watchdog
This all refers to the AVR WDT over the I2C interface. I understand
the I2C just not the commands and how the WDT is controlled in the AVR.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill
