The only thing  happened when I run make ts7800_defconfig is that it finish with 
'# configuration written to .config'. No kernel is compiled.

When I use the method below, something is compiled. But where can I find the image to DD.
Is that in /arch/arm/boot ?

Actually of those 4, the only one you really need to run is
make ts7800_defconfig
(note the difference from above) and then if you want to change the
configuration:
make menuconfig
