Hi,

As the TS-7800 and the Kurobox Pro NAS are pretty similar, can we assume the
JTAG pinout's are the same?

http://kurobox.com/mwiki/index.php/Add_Jtag_Port

Although I know very little about JTAGing at all I have read a 16pin JTAG
interface, such as the one labelled next to the first UART port, for an ARM
board is not 'natural'. :)

Although I do not plan on JTAGing it really yet (if at all) I need a serial
port on my laptop[1]. Whilst browsing online I found the Olimex
ARM-USB-OCD[3] for around $80 which gives me my serial port and a nice cheapy
OpenOCD-compatible JTAG interface all in one.

I noticed that on the mailing list and the TS website there is no information
regarding the JTAG port (none I could find), I was wondering if anyone could
tell me if the pinout is correct? Anyone got a TS-7800 and JTAG interface
that can test the above pinout before I commit myself to something that just
will not work?

Cheers

Alex

[1] these damn modern laptops no longer comes with them and the USB to serial
converter I have does not support doing BREAK's[2]
[2] I use a lot of Sun hardware and this is getting more annoying everyday
