[ts-7000] Edit files on embedded system

Hello

I want to edit some configuration files for setting up the controller 
board. E.g. configuring the FTP-server for access.

I saw that there is the tool vi available but using the serial terminal 
editing seems not possible. I also tried with telenet but the situation 
seems the same.

How are you editing files located on the TS-Boards?
