For the development image, yes, but not for the on-board TS-Linux.
I'm currently getting ncurses installed on the USB Debian image,
then I'm planning to copy what I need on-board.

And what terminal type is the TS-7KV (which only does emulated text
mode while actually running in bit-mapped graphics mode)? As
delivered, the text part of the display is only the top 2/3, too. The
clear command and anything that writes enough to cause scrolling stops
2/3 down from the top, but the graphics use the whole screen (with the
text just overwriting those locations, hence my comment that it only
emulates text mode).

PS: These are the tiny details I expect to find in the product
documentation, but alas, Technologic apparently thinks that this kind
of stuff is intuitively obvious to the casual observer. Hmmm... I'm
thinking that their name should split in three parts instead of two:
Tech-No-Logic rather than Techno-Logic. The first certainly fits
better in light of all of my communication with them... <sigh>
