Yeah, I've built qt 3.x on my cross-dev box; with O3 it would run out
of memory even with 2 GB RAM.  With O2 it would take about 40 minutes
to build - on a 3 GHz P4 box with hyperthreading....

I would guess that building qt 3 natively would take several days.....
