Most modems don't really need anything extra.  At worse you'd need to jumper the TR pin (Terminal Ready).

Hi,

There may be an issue with using the FPGA ports with modems. The
ports implement either two two wire (TX/RX) ports or a single (TX/RX/
CTS/RTS) port. However, these ports don't have any of the modem
control signals you may need.

I wanna use com 1,2&3 to work as a console ports and com 4,5,6 to
control modems but in the TS manual com 3,4,5,6 ports are used
exclusively for the FPGA. Another question.. what are the names of

the

devices for com 3,4,5,6 since for com 1,2,3 are ttyAM0, ttyAM1 and
ttyAM2 located in the /dev directory ?
