The manual mentions bootload is called in linuxrc-mtdroot:

By default, the "linuxrc-mtdroot" sample startup script will look

and attempt to load and boot it.  You can modify the kernel command
line parameters or image file by changing the respective line in
the startup script.

However, my linuxrc-mtdroot doesn't contain the call to bootload. I don't even think there's a bootload binary when in ts-boot?
