Transferring to groups.io is straightforward. I have some experience with
this, and I will be happy tp help. There is, however, a one time fee of
$110 to have all posts etc moved from Y! groups to groups.io. (For the
CalOdes group we used GoFundMe to collect this money within 24 hours.)
