Hi Tom,
Yes, I drilled through the bottom of the cutting board and the microphones
were mounted flush with the surface just as a friction fit (I ended up
buying metric drill bits to match the EM-172 capsules!), and then I just
used kitchen wrap over the entire top surface, folded underneath and held
in place with tape. It held together for spring migration, probably not
good enough for anything longer term :)
