This is really cool! Thanks, Dan! =0D =0D I've still got a stash of cutting boards from a project I did over a decad= e ago. I might need to pull them out to play.=0D =0D =0D Just so I understand, it looks like the Wildlife Acoustics microphone uses= the classic PZT arrangement of having the mic above, and closely spaced to= the boundary. In your design you come up through the boundary, and wrap th= e whole thing with a waterproof membrane. Did I get that right?=0D =0D =0D I've got a related fabric question I hope someone can help me answer. The = first several sets of EM-172 capsules I bought had black fabric discs stuck= to the front. The more recent ones are bare metal. I've seen electret caps= ules come both ways. Does anyone know what those black fabric discs are cal= led, and where I can get some? They seem to be a pretty standard item, but = I can't seem to find them anywhere.=0D =0D =0D Thanks again, Dan!=0D =0D =0D Tom=0D |
