Recorder advise for Recorders with PIP mics

Subject: Recorder advise for Recorders with PIP mics

Hi all
My Sony PCM D-50 finally gave up. What recorders these days are being
recommended that currently are on the market. I'm aware there are
certain models such as Olympus and Sony that have been recommended
recently but are no longer available and the searching I have done,
indicate they rarely come up as second hand (another D-50 would be
great). Because I have PIP mics, I would prefer a recorder to suite
them. I know there are adapters and battery boxes to go from PIP to XLR
connections but I find with more connections, more potential problems
occur. Budget depends on what I can negotiate with my wife (interesting
experience at times).
Using this as a guide
http://www.avisoft.com/recordertests.htm

Models to consider are
Olympus LS-12
Roland R 05
Sony PCM M10
All are a little nosier than the D-50. I know using a chart such as this
is a guide and there are other factors to consider but is a staring point.

Cheers
David
