Hi,=0D =0D =0D With some thunderstorms forecast over the next two days I'd like to leave = my recording gear set up in the garden overnight to hopefully catch a tapes= try of auditory splendour (!) possibly interspersed with the now fading daw= n chorus. Normally I seal the recorder in a plastic box and cover with poly= thene and just leave the homemade SASS array with the furry wind cover to c= atch the dew. Can anyone recommend a suitable cover for the mics that will = keep them dry and not adversely affect the sound too much. I have a fall ba= ck plan of putting them on the verandah of a summerhouse but ideally I'd li= ke to record in the open. I did wonder if a rubber backed coconut fibre doo= r mat would work, the fibre might dampen the falling rain sounds?=0D =0D =0D Any help most welcome,=0D =0D =0D Thanks,=0D =0D =0D Clive=0D |
