Hi, =C2=A0I have an Olympus LS-12 and a audio-technica AT2022 mic with a FE= L 3.5 microphone preamp attached to it. =C2=A0I am interested in taping the= morning chorus of birds with this setup and am getting quite a bit of nois= e in it. I was wondering if people had suggestions on the best settings on = the LS-12 that would minimize the noise level in the recordings. =C2=A0I us= ed it yesterday with the gain on the recorder set to "hi" and the level set= to 40. Would it be better to set the gain to "mid"?thanks for the help.tom |
