Hello there, I was wondering whether anyone here has experience with running long cable runs with electret mics such as Telinga, Primo EM172 etc. (stuff ending with minijack). I am talking like 15+ meters, in nature (far from urban EMI). I wonder how much can such thing affect quality. One thing that comes to mind is external preamp next to mics, which would boost their level. But is it really necessary? I generally use SD 702 for my recording, but love to have a minimalist hiking setup with Olympus LS-11 and pair of Primo mics with long cable.
