d to record bird songs. I used it often but was never really satisfied with=
the recordings because of the background noise such as other birds, distan=
t traffic, etc. Last year I bought a shotgun mic, and although I was somewh=
at disappointed at the lower Db level (as much as 15 Db less than with the =
on-board mics) I was amazed to realize how much better the sound quality wa=
s with the new mic. Overall, I am quite happy with this mic. However, there=
are times when I would prefer an omni mic because I actually want to pick =
up more of the ambient sound, with better quality than the built-in mics.. =
I would probably not use this mic too often, however, and I don't want to b=
