Yes, it is intended for "steerable 360-degree visual experience" or 360 Sur=
round Video experience in a VR Headset.
And yes, I'm also not sure why they haven't used the obvious peanuts or mat=
ches demos. I also don't know how effective the 4 binaural ear pairs are. T=
he setup just looks strange and I'm not sure how authentic the final sound =
environment is going to be. Saying that, the examples that I've seen that u=
sed this setup (e.g. a Cirque de Soleil demo in the Samsung Gear VR headset=
) are pretty good in terms of location of the sound sources. I'm just not s=
ure how to record and edit 8 tracks and most importantly how to get them in=
to a final video that knows where the 0=B0 reference point is going to be. =
Has anyone worked with surround sound in video?
