I do not see XLR inputs mentioned in the spec sheet of the D100, nor do I s=
ee evidence of such in the photos.
Did I miss something? Please clarify.

This unit appears to be just an enhanced version of the D50. In fact, the A=
visoft test specs are nearly identical.
The other thing that is surprising is that at 192KHz sampling rate, the aud=
io frequency response goes up to only 45Khz [line in, the mic in is not spe=
c'd]. So forget about recording anything in the ultrasonic range.
The built-in mics have a frequency response that is 20 dB down at 40 KHz.
Not enough usefulness in this unit for me to spend so much money.

It's been a while since Sony added a recorder to its pro audio series.=C2=

1, in 2005.=C2=A0 The PCM-D50 followed in early 2008.=C2=A0 The D100 has re=
cording quality similar to the D1, in a case closer in size to the D50.=C2=
