Zach Poff has a pretty good summary on his blog:

http://www.zachpoff.com/diy-resources/zachs-recorder-recommendations/

I don't know of any recorder that does both PIP and XLR well, and
definitely not one that does PIP, XLR and built-in mics. I use the Olympus
LS-11 for built-ins and PIP and an external P48 power supply with it for
XLR. The LS-11 is an excellent little recorder. Unfortunately it is out of
production. If I had to replace it I would get the PCM-M10. When my
students ask, it is the PCM-M10 that I recommend.
