I've used the Edirol R-09HR, M-Audio Microtrack, the Marantz and a few of
the Zooms pretty extensively...I now have the Sony pcm-m10 and it's
definitely the best-sounding of the lot...very quiet + clean-sounding. Not
sure if it would be an issue, but it doesn't have XLRs...I use a Sound
Devices MixpreD through the line in for that.
