So sorry to hear that, that really sucks! =A0 I had that happen twice, once=
with a portable hard drive I'd been using for "extra" storage. =A0I made t=
he major mistake of instead of using it as a backup, using it as an add on =
and splitting my files between that, and my main machine. =A0 Crazy thing i=
s, two days after the secondary drive died, my main computer failed, so I l=
ost THOSE files also. =A0Now....everything is mirrored, updates done=A0imme=
diately=A0if any files are added. =A0=A0

=A0
Last night the other half shut down the laptop as normal before bed. This m=
orning it was dead. It would power on and fans would spin but nothing. Took=
it to my parents and tried their hard drive in my machine.... Nothing..

Tried my hd on their machine and it tried to boot but went straight to blue=
 screen of death twice...

So never put off your back ups. I have lost every recording I made since Se=
ptember. It was on the cards to do this little job this weekend, but it is =
too late.. Will try again when I get a replacement machine. This was comple=
tely unforeseen..

Oh well... Lesson learned. Never put off the most important job of all.

Simon.
