I have found using a little Thermacell device on the ground below the mics can
help somewhat:

The large netted tent is a great idea though, probably the most effective of
all.
For editing fly sounds out Izotope spectral repair software can work on minor
sounds. Really swarmy and loud sounds may be too much to edit out.
