There is unfortunately no such a switch that would allow to bypass its preamp.
So, one had to modify the iRig, which would of course require some soldering
skills and (more importantly) some understanding of its internal circuit.
A "quick and dirty" solution would be perhaps to insert an XLR extension cable
between the phantom-powered microphone and the iRig and then simply attach
another cable (fitted with a 3.5 mm TRS plug) to the XLR plug (to XLR pin 1 and
2 or 1 and 3).
In order to remove the high phantom power voltage bias, it would however also
be required to insert a suited capacitor. Otherwise, the recorder might be
destroyed.
