<Is it even possible to upload files directly from a recorder to an iPad?> Yes, I think that should be possible with the optional iPad Camera Connecti= on kit. <What problems do apps like Audacity have on a tablet? Is it just that all = the buttons are too small for our fat fingers?> Yep, that's the biggest problem. Navigating through the menus is also a bit= complicated (these were of course originally designed for mouse input). Th= ere will also be so-called Metro style apps on Windows 8 that are specifica= lly designed for touchscreen operation, similar to the iPad and Android app= s. Operating conventional Windows applications on a tablet PC would be much ea= sier with a stylus. There are already a few Windows 7 tablet PCs that also = respond to stylus input, such as the Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 for instance: h= ttp://www.zdnet.co.uk/reviews/tablets-and-umpcs/2011/07/25/fujitsu-stylisti= c-q550-40093507/ Regards, Raimund |
