SONY's Hi-MD AUDIO Specification (Mar. 2005)
According to the YEAR above, MDS-JB940 may be not have a exact Hi-MD
compatibilities.
I have a dim recollection that a few MD decks produced before Hi-MD
specification displayed "HiMD" when you put a Hi-MD formatted disc or
Hi-MD format exclusive disc in the slot.
