Fortunately, there are alternative batteries with 3.7V, 1400 mAh that claim=
 to be compatible with the Olympus LI-50B provided with the LS-100 recorder=
.  That's 50% more power in the same size package.  Recorder run time when =
providing phantom power should increase from 2.25 hours to better than 3 ho=
urs.

Price through Amazon.com of the 1400 mAh battery is about $6 delivered.

I also see 3.7V rechargeable batteries with 1800 and 2100 mAh that claim to=
 be compatible with the Olympus LI-50B.  Prices are considerably higher.
