I agree with Raimund and Klas. The omni mics in the M-10 are quieter and he= nce better for recordings of ambience. But the cardioid mics of the LS-10/LS-11= are very decent and image much nicer for recordings of band rehearsals, gigs, interviews, etc. Really, I think Olympus made the better choice here for the general user, s= ince anyone really picky about noise floor will almost undoubtedly be using exte= rnal mics. Olympus also has a nicer interface and top build quality, plus I agre= e with the preference for SD cards. However I have kept my M-10 as well, sinc= e I am not a typical user. :-) I like some of the bells and whistles like the pre-record function, but then again Olympus has the useful mono record opti= on.
