Raimund,
As I remember you have the Sony M10 as well as the LS-11.
I am contributing to purchase of a digital recorder for a friend who
wants to return to song writing. She was in bands for 10 years and quit
10 years ago. She would use the recorder for hearing herself as well as
small band. She is not tech savy. She will use on board mics and
external mics.
Two questions: I will offer buying her the Tascam dr 05 or the Zoom H1OR
see if she wants to go in together to get the Sony M-10 or the Olympus
LS-11.
Would the Sony or Olympus be a better option.I've seen the self noise
charts. Never heard the LS-11. Don't like the LS-10 sound.
I really don't want to put money into either the Tascam or the Zoom, but
if I did which one would you suggest.
many thanks, lilyI have the Edirol HR09

performance is pretty much the same as that of its predecessor, the
LS-10. Though, I believe that the in-built microphones have been
improved. In terms of the inherent noise, they seem to be very close to
those of the SONY PCM-D50. Another useful improvement is the optional
mono recording mode that will save storage space when using an external
shotgun microphone for instance. > > Regards,> Raimund>--- In
