Hi,
    Thank you all for your comments. The figure 8's were head to head above=
 and below each other using the Rode blimp's elastic to hold them in place.=
 I do have a pair of Rode NT2A's which in figure 8 mode may be interesting =
to use again- certainly far more sensitive and much lower noise - but also =
quite a hefty setup. One of the ribbon figure 8's & dynamic cardoid I'll tr=
y next - thunder normally rolls in mid may.
