Hi David, yes, depending on the exact position of the tube relative to the microphone= capsule, it will of course affect the frequency response and the pick-up p= attern a bit. The microphones that I use for this application are more = or less omni-directional and for the intended application (monitoring bat a= ctivity) it should make no big difference. But I would agree that it would not make much sense to use such a tight tub= e on a shotgun mic because it would then inhibit its interference tube. Regards, Raimund |
