pre-amp with phantom power

Hello all,

I am having a serious problem with my Marantz PMD661 - that is the preamps do 
not work anymore.. since the service failed  to repair it and since marantz did 
not reply to my email.. (well done guys !) - 

I am thinking of what to do with the limited amount of money I can spend on 
this, 

I don' t have the machine with me but I recall the line input worked as 
expected and I have a feeling the digital input will work also,

so 

are there any recommendations for some portable phantom-powered stereo preamp 
with line outputs or for one with digital output in the price range of less 
than 400-500euros ??
