106dB SPL?=C2=A0 That's way low.=C2=A0 I look for a 140dB SPL limit.=C2=A0 =
But I record large brass ensembles.=C2=A0 Anything with drums will likely c=
rest 125dB easy.=C2=A0 And that's audience perspective, not at the kit.=C2=
=A0 Rain could probably crest 106dB with enough proximity.=C2=A0 So yeah, y=
ou don't want those IMO.=C2=A0

24dB A-Weighted self noise is kind of high as well, but not useless on some=
 sources.=C2=A0 15dB would be more pro-ish.=C2=A0 I had some SM-81s that I =
liked, but their SPL limit didn't handle my main content.=C2=A0 And a bit t=
oo directional.=C2=A0 And near impossible to shield from wind annoyances.=
=C2=A0 Nice range and low noise, but a bit huge too.=C2=A0

AT4022's have some nice specs, I'd look for something with similar specs.=
=C2=A0 Not that I'd know of any in that form / size factor.=C2=A0 Some seem=
 to have had some success with using a bit of cardboard on their pocket rec=
orders to get a bit more directionality.=C2=A0 Not quite stealth, but a not=
iceable difference in stereo imaging.
